Proclamation of Ordination
Thank you Reverend W. Kelly Lane
Effective December 11, 2002,
I, Douglas E. Hickman, Ordaining officer of the Universal Ministries, do Ordain, Anoint, Appoint,
and Select you for placement into our Registry of Ministry. This means that from this day forward, unless you request
to be removed, you are a minister with the Universal Ministries. This being said, we welcome you into our Ministries
of Universal Acceptance. Please feel free to visit our Ministries Website at: http://www.universalministries.com/ for information, ministry essentials, spiritual enjoyment, and just plain fun. You are now able to perform
all religious services and duties. You may check our website for a general overview of what your state requires you
to do at this point. Some states require more than others, some require nothing at all. http://www.universalministries.com/genmarlaws.cfm
However, please be sure to check with your local clerk's office for special filings you may need
to have recorded with your county or area and the legal age you must be in order to perform weddings and such. For our
ministers in countries other than the United States, please carefully check the laws of your country for wedding authority
before performing wedding ceremonies. The Ministries are expanding faster than we anticipated, and therefore we are
not familiar with all laws in foreign countries. We seek your help to help others in your nation. Please forward appropriate
requirements of your countries, that we may serve you better in faith. If you care to share your country's laws regarding
marriage authority, send an email to rev@universalministries.com.
For those of you who wish to get right into performing services, but really don't know what to
do next, we have a nice training section, especially for new ministers like you. Take a look at our Klergy Kindergarten
for training on weddings, funerals, and baptisms, with more training courses to be added soon. http://www.universalministries.com/school.html
We invite all ministers to share their beliefs within our community by submitting guest sermons
to spotlight their thoughts. We do not promise to use every one we receive, but if your sermon is chosen we will not
alter it (other than maybe some grammar), and the name or group you wish shall be given credit for sharing with us. You may
email your sermons to rev@universalministries.com or send them via postal mail to:
